With a wide range of classes for both adults and children, we really hope that as many people as possible will take the opportunity to contribute entries to what is always a popular event to start the year. We particularly celebrate spring, with stunningly colourful displays of flowers and new life from the garden.

We are aware of many concerns about daffodils and flowering shrubs being two or three weeks early this year (Magnolias in Cornwall gardens are reportedly a month early) but there will be other varieties still in bloom so do please enter as many classes as you can, particularly the floral arrangements. You could exhibit some of your creative arts and crafts hobbies, projects completed during the winter, and compete with other bakers jam and marmalade makers in the “Homecrafts” section.

We look forward to welcoming regulars and especially new residents in the village, either as exhibitors or visitors, to join us at this friendly social event, where the first class teas and cakes allow time to catch up with friends and news, as well as viewing the wonderful displays.

Potato Growing Challenge

As in previous years, by popular demand, we will be selling seed potatoes for the “Heaviest weight in a bucket” Competition, which is judged on the day of the Summer Flower and Produce Show, so, just a reminder to put that date on your calendars, Saturday 27th July.

As the Summer Show is a much larger event, offers of help before or on the day are always welcome.
